27th Annual Wildlife Habitat Garden Tour

Rescheduled as a One Day Event on Saturday, Sept 12, 2020

This year we are scheduling a one-day "mini-tour" on Sept. 12, at just two adjacent Tulsa gardens in west Tulsa, each of which have multi-acre yards. For this year timed advance-purchase tickets are required. All participants must have a pre-purchased ticket, no tickets will be sold at the gardens. The exact garden addresses will be on your ticket.

Join Tulsa Audubon Society members Jeff Cox and Julia Harris for a family-friendly morning walk to look for and identify birds at the Garden. Bring binoculars if you have them, the Tulsa Audubon Society will also have a few binoculars available to borrow. A drop-in bird related activity/craft will be available until 11 a.m. No registration needed. Free with regular admission.Garden admission is FREE for Garden members; $8 for ages 13+, $4 for ages 3-12. Kids 2 and under are free. Young People's Seasonal Bird Walk
Our next Young People's Seasonal Bird Walk is Saturday, June 8th from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at Ray Harral Nature Park, 7101 S 3rd St. in Broken Arrow.

Fall has arrived this week, and some early winter birds are already being reported, so it is time for the annual TAS Bird Seed Sale!

Annual Christmas Bird Count

Audubon's 121st Christmas Bird Count will be conducted between the dates of Monday, Dec. 14, 2020 through Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021.  TAS is planning to hold our annual count on Saturday, Dec. 19th, but with some modifications, such as no carpooling and cancelling the after count soup dinner and countdown. All are still welcome to participate, and you do NOT need to be an expert birder!! Click here for more details and how to participate.

The Tulsa Audubon Society is teaming up with the Jenks High School Ornithology Program to once again host the annual Tulsa Eagle Watch & Raptor Rlly on Saturday, January 25. The event is FREE to the public and geared toward adults and children alike. 

The Outdoor Watch is 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. on the Jenks Pedestrian Bridge. Use the parking lot on the Jenks/West side of river, located at Riverfront Drive and "B" Street. (There is also a smaller overflow parking lot down below the main one.) 

Join us after the viewing for our Raptor Rally, featuring live raptor presentations, from 9:00-12:15 at Jenks High School, Building 6, 301 N. Birch St.

Regrettably the Doug Tallamy event scheduled for this weekend has been postponed.
