However, Kansas still has a good population of Lesser Prairie-Chickens, and they have begin a festival we encourage you to attend instead. See:
Join the Tulsa Audubon Society and the Oklahoma Audubon Council For An Amazing Prairie Experience! See and hear the quickly vanishing Lesser Prairie-Chicken displaying on its gobbling grounds. Come share and experience the natural heritage of the high plains of northwestern Oklahoma. Festival headquarters is in Woodward, Oklahoma.

* Greater Prairie-Chicken viewing in Osage County, Oklahoma
* An opportunity to actively participate in protecting the species by helping to mark fences
* Field trips led by local experts around northwest Oklahoma

The price for pre-orders is $26 through Feb 18 ($31 shipped). After Feb 18 the price is $31 ($36 shipped). The final deadline for pre-ordering T-Shirts is midnight March 8th. Please choose an option to either pick up your shirt at the Festival or a Tulsa Audubon meeting, or have us ship it to you (shipping on about April 1st).
